Do work that matters

Your role has responsibility for Sales and Business Development activities for the Western Region (WA, SA and NT) and as directed by the National Manager Investment Sales.

We are looking for a motivated individual who has the capability to build strong relationships and has a good understanding of the dynamics of the financial services markets. Inherent to this role is the provision of quality on-going service and proactive sales to relevant financial intermediaries.

Communication is one of your strengths, and you will enjoy liaising with external clients and internal stakeholders at all levels of seniority.

On any given day, you will

  • Provide ongoing sales, service and support to aligned and independent dealer groups, consultants and private banks within the territory.
  • Develop and execute an annual territory business plan which is supported via 90 day action plans.
  • Conduct Investment campaigns, drive sales and identify opportunities to increase sales and revenue to meet set KPI’s.
  • Report regularly on business activity and maintain CRM information and file notes.
  • Maintain your Adviser Panel to ensure relevance to business initiatives including segmentation and development of a robust sales pipeline.
  • Represent CFS at client seminars, Adviser PD days and Dealer Group conferences as required.

You’ll be joining the dynamic and successful Investment Sales team. We are responsible for providing research, sales and support services to independent, national and aligned dealer groups, retail research houses, consultants and private banks.

We are a highly collaborative team and you will collaborate with other state based BDM’s and BDA’s to leverage ideas and support sales initiatives. Further, you are part of a broader distribution team which represents strategic accounts, retail (platform) sales and corporate super so collaboration and team work are critical attributes for this role.

We're interested in hearing from people who have

  • Demonstrated experience in the application of a quality sales methodology and clear ability to drive results in the investment management industry in a sales role.
  • Proven capability to develop and leverage effective stakeholder relationships with strong inter-personal communication skills at all levels of seniority.
  • Highly developed sales, service, communication, negotiation, presentation and organizational skills.
  • A passion for capital markets, investing and a strong skill set articulating complex investment processes and styles.
  • Valid driver's license and minimum RG146 with a high preference tertiary qualifications.
  • Additional qualifications or progression toward CFA, CIMA, CAIA or Masters in Applied Finance would be desirable.
